CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Michael Doenges, P.E.
Mike D. brings an engineering mindset, operational excellence, and financial acumen to CORE. Having served a variety of roles in the construction industry from carpenter to field engineer, to finance manager, Mike has a breadth of knowledge to help lead the company’s sales, real estate development, and corporate strategies. An innovator and problem solver by nature, Mike uses his experiences in construction, design, fabrication, real estate, and hospitality to bring a diverse perspective to CORE.
PRESIDENT
Michael Willis
Mike is a Construction Management professional with over 36 years’ experience in the industry; 29 of them being with CORE. Mike possesses expertise in a variety of roles within the construction industry. With CORE, he has served the company as a Field Manager, General Field Manager, Senior Project Manager, Director of Construction and now as its President. These experiences have allowed him to possess high expertise in pre-construction and construction phases of project management including estimating, design coordination, budgeting, contract execution, scheduling, and change order coordination along with his vast knowledge of construction means and methods obtained while functioning as a field manager for over 12 years in the industry.
CONTROLLER
Kevin Kappes
Kevin graduated and earned his Accounting Degree from Northern Kentucky University in 1994. He now serves as the Controller for CORE Resources, overseeing all Financial and Human Resource aspects of the company. Kevin has 30 years of experience in the industry with CORE. Kevin possesses expertise in a variety of roles within construction accounting, property management, real estate, development accounting, and human resources. Since starting in 1995, he has served as the Property Management Accountant, Construction Accountant and for the past 27 years, Controller.
DIRECTOR OF FIELD OPERATIONS
Jason McCoy
Jason is responsible for overseeing all field procedures and operations. He holds over 28 years of management experience in construction. Jason possesses a high level of detail in his management style and project execution. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Jason joined CORE as a Field Laborer. After several promotions, he has fully grasped the process of what it takes to run and complete a project to the highest standards. His daily responsibilities include subcontractor coordination, schedule adherence, budget adherence, safety coordinator and quality control. Jason also handles assisting with the field hiring and training, ensuring that all CORE standards are met on the construction projects.
Sr. VP of Pre-Construction
Jim Cicchetti
Jim is a licensed Architect with 30 years of demonstrated history in the construction and design industries. His experience is diverse; skilled in Project Management, Pre-Construction, Estimating, Budgeting and Design. Jim holds a Master of Architecture, Master of City & Regional Planning, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degrees from The Ohio State University. Away from CORE, Jim is very involved in his community, holding positions on the Urban Design Review Board, and the Ludlow Historic Society.
Project Executive
Lauren Gesenhues
Lauren is responsible for organizing and overseeing daily construction operations. She leads multiple construction teams to ensure effective planning and execution. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati, equipping her with a strong foundation in both technical and business aspects of construction management. Her background in complicated projects along with her client focused mentality allow her to provide a high standard of quality. Lauren’s expertise encompasses project planning, budgeting, scheduling, team leadership, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Lauren is recognized for her strategic approach, effective communication, and commitment to excellence in every phase of the construction process
Project Executive
Jeff Martin
Jeff brings an architectural foundation, deep urban planning and real-estate redevelopment experience, and hands-on project leadership to CORE Resources. As Project Executive, Jeff guides projects from early planning through execution, with a focus on complex mixed-use, historic renovation, public space, and commercial developments. His approach emphasizes collaboration, disciplined coordination, and delivering long-term value for clients through thoughtful planning and precise execution.
Prior to joining CORE, Jeff played a key role in some of Cincinnati’s most transformative projects, supporting large-scale urban redevelopment, public parks, structured parking, commercial development, and historic preservation efforts. His background spans project management, design coordination, permitting, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement, allowing him to bridge vision and execution across diverse project types.
