V.H. Deerfield, LLC approached CORE Resources, Inc. following early design work and a recommendation by KBA Architects to provide a preliminary cost estimate for the project. Based on this estimate, the Owner hired CORE using a Guaranteed Maximum Price contract.
As part of its service, CORE brought the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building fire suppression subcontractors to the table and along with KBA used a design/build delivery system to complete the working drawings, apply for permit and begin construction.
The building was designed for nine tenants, including four speculative white boxes, as well as white box work for CiCi’s Pizza, GameStop, SuperCuts, T-Mobile and El Rancho Mexican Restaurant. Based upon commitments made by the landlord, all work was completed in four months.
