In 2005, CORE Resources began what is now an ongoing relationship with The Tavern Restaurant Group, proprietors of The Pub Bar & Restaurant concept. CORE was invited to bid on The Pub in Crestview Hills, Kentucky and was subsequently awarded the project.
This project was an end cap to the newly built Crestview Hills Towne Center and other than for the roof and tenant demising wall, all work was performed by CORE. Two more Pubs were added in Lexington, Kentucky and Beavercreek, Ohio. These two projects were built from the ground up along with an additional mall pub in Pembroke, Florida.
In 2008, The Pub concept was franchised to a developer in Virginia where CORE has expanded to complete another two Pubs - one in Fredericksburg and one in Hampton.
The Pub concept includes large exterior patios accessed from the interior through large operable glass partitions, wood exterior cladding, a common entry feature, exterior planter boxes within the exterior metal sign band, large front and back bar with a bar hood, custom ceramic tile work, and a large millwork package to bring the feeling of Olde England back to the Colonies. Each Pub also brings with it a challenge from changes in building code in each locality to constraints of the actual building site. The challenge is met and The Pubs open on schedule, on budget and include a high quality of craftsmanship that distinguishes this concept from others.
