641 Walnut Street

5,700 SF Condominium and Bar Development
Architect: Beck Architecture Incorporated
Developer: 3CDC
Wanting to create new housing opportunities in the downtown area, 3CDC purchased this late 19th Century Italianate-style building located at 641 Walnut Street. The building originally housed boarding rooms on its upper 3 floors, but has been largely unoccupied for the past 50 years.
The majority of the building was in deteriorated but sound condition. Façade windows were repaired and reglazed. New aluminum framed windows replaced others that were irreparable on both the west and south sides in their original openings. Additionally, all new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were installed.
This completed project now houses three, one-bedroom condominiums with high-end finishes - an unexpected touch in this downturned market.
