Case Study:

The Village Square was part of the overall development of Deerfield Towne Centre in Deerfield Township, Ohio. The set of three buildings was designed for an extension of retail use by the Towne Centre on the first floor and combining that retail with office use on the second floor of the buildings. This marriage of retail and office was achieved by Glaserwork Architects and in the traditional industry guideline of design/bid/build, CORE Resources, Inc was awarded the work after the competitive bid process.

CORE began immediately working with the Owner and Architect to value engineer the project to achieve the original budget desired by the Owner. CORE brought in their structural steel, mechanical, electrical and plumbing vendors to discuss the various systems in the building and bring the cost down in these areas. Further discussions regarding the façade design and detail brought the costs into budget.
